After living in NOVA these last 4 years, we decided we needed to make a change. My wife and I missed the mountains. I wanted more for my 6 year old to grow up with. Not more city and corporate businesses. More nature, local businesses. More mountains, outdoor critters, and down to earth people that weren't always going to or returning to their jobs.
We found Roanoke, Virginia this summer, and have decided to call this place home. And I'm so glad we did. This place is inspiring and beautiful.
The artwork I will be working on this year will still feature many dogs and cats (I never get sick of painting dogs and cats!). There will also be more nature paintings as it is hard to avoid the nature around us. This one is from the Natural Bridge State Park. More to come these next weeks!
