This is a colorful and vibrant painting of a panda. I wanted to paint a panda emerging from the painting that was both realistic and abstract. The marks around the panda were painted with a paint brush extended on a long piece of bamboo to make the marks more dynamic and less controlled. This painting was given to Noah Benjamin Lennox from Animal Collective. Appropriately his stage name is Panda Bear. This is a original painting from Christian Ives.
