When we first moved to Eugene, Oregon in 2016, I was so excited to be only an hour's drive away from the ocean. Not to mention a part of the ocean filled with sea lions. Ever since I was a kid I have loved sea lions. They truly are just dog mermaids. This massive sea lion continues to crack me up and not take life too seriously. Sea lion paintings have helped me take things in art a lot less seriously. This is a Christian Ives original oil painting.
