This is a semi-abstract oil painting created from a gesture sketch I made while visiting Portland, Oregon. Gesture sketches can capture so much movement. There was something very tribal and ambiguous about this sketch. I wanted the colors to be very free and capture the moment when I was in Portland that week. This is a Christian Ives original oil painting.
